After a full day at the Royal Wedding in Windsor, and a leisurely (ahem) drive through the Cotswolds (um, I think it was the Cotswalds, anyway), we retired to my country house, Uplands, tucked away a mile above Bath in the hills. It's quaint but perfectly fitting for a young lady of my station.

Aren't my gardens lovely?
Motorbike Ride to Bath.
The town of Bath stretches out below. No one does quaint country landscapes like the English.
Edy on the Ducati.
Getting ready to leave for the day...check out how tiny my seat at the back is. Imagine stayin' on that while zipping down the M4 at 140 clicks...

I was trying to take a picture of the cows pastured next to the house, but they started to amble away when they heard the noise of the motorbike.
Edy in Bath
Edy captures some pictures of the English countryside from our window. It was so quiet, despite the motorway down the hill, that I had trouble falling asleep, after the noise of London.

Dani and Jane.
Dani's favorite part of Bath: visiting the Jane Austen Centre. Here Jane and I have a discussion about the ending of Persuasion...I'm not sure she couldn't have improved on it a little, and I think she sees my point.
This Boy Loves His Sweets.
Edy's favorite distraction: ice cream.
More Sweets in Bath
We watched this fellow make chocolate-caramel fudge. He also recommended some good pubs in Bath where we might find Sunday Roast...
