I had to take a picture of this place, even if the guy isn't impressed...for people who don't know, we call my dad Popo.
Gjertrud in Borough Market.
Miss Brussels Sprouts 2004. Did you know that's what they LOOK like when they come out of the ground? I didn't.
Pumpkin in London
Alex is my pumpkin-pusher...here is another, um....pumpkin (???) that he bought me for Halloween. It looks to me like it might be a pumpkin from Mars. Gourds...in....Space....
Borough Market
Borough Market is one of the largest food markets in London and conveniently located a 10 minutes walk from my house. Here you can find a wide variety of organic produce, designer pastries and breads, and hot chorizo sandwiches that people line up for hours to enjoy.
Canadian Thanksgiving
A good pumpkin is hard to find. Alex was so pleased when he found this one for me in Oxford Street. I'm the Vanna White of gourd vegetables.
Thanksgiving in London
We put the men to work. Geoff is cooking ginger carrots, Alex is stirring the gravy, and Jim is carving the turkey.
Random Turkey Photo.
Ummm. Turkey. Giertrud took this pic...I'm not sure why. Red wine may be the explanation.
Gjertrud and I.
Giertrud and I are happy that Thanksgiving has gone off without a hitch and that no one has gotten salmonella...that we know of...
Walking Along the Thames.
Let's go for a walk through my neigbourhood, because it's a beautiful day. We'll take the Thames Path. Look, Tower Bridge is opening for a cruise ship.
On the South Bank.
The site of the original Clink Prison (so THAT'S where the expression comes from). Notice the, uh, prisoner, hanging above the door.
Tate Modern.
Tate Modern is the largest Modern Art museum in the world, and is housed in the old Bankside Power Station.
